LONDON : Europe's main stock markets wavered in opening deals on Friday as dealers balanced stubborn recession fears against optimism over China's economic reopening.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index drifted 0.1 percent lower to 7,466.64 points, compared with the closing level on Thursday.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index also receded 0.1 percent to 6,640.63 points, but Frankfurt's DAX firmed 0.1 percent to 14,278.05.
